Living in Faro
This busy, lively town and beach destination is both welcoming and authentic all year round. Fall under the spell of this charming city and the many wonders it has to offer.
Algarve is known worldwide for its beaches, golf courses and hinterland. But how well do you know Faro, its capital? A surprising place that has definitely won us over. That’s where we have made the choice to settle our 37 prestigious villas: Quinta de Faro.
The best way to grasp its atmosphere is to experience it. We have therefore selected some not-to-be-missed local addresses for you. Let Faro be your own little piece of paradise.

The historic city centre, the old town of Faro is surrounded by Roman ramparts, and seems to have remained unchanged since last century.
Fall in love with the ancient coloured doors and the time-worn tiled facades, or visit the Gothic style Sé cathédrale built after Faro’s reconquest from the Moors in 1249.
The view of Faro and the Ria Formosa from the roof of the cathedral is breathtaking!
Other areas to explore include:
The Marina
Marvel at the sunset over the Marina. This is the perfect time to enjoy the beautiful light at dusk.
Municipal museum of Faro
Located in a former cloister, this eclectic museum reveals the diverse roots of the Algarve. The collection spans from Roman times to the Moorish period, and also includes modern paintings. In the Roman collection, do not miss the mosaic of the ocean.
